ITS Wisconsin Cybersecurity Training – Applying the NIST Framework to Transportation Systems – December 2020

ITS Wisconsin in partnership with ITS America and FHWA offered training on cybersecurity related to transportation systems. With today’s connected transportation systems, state and local agencies are needing to consider potential cyber threats to the communications systems that support their intelligent transportation systems. This 2-day virtual training provided an opportunity to hear from FHWA experts on cybersecurity and become familiar with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) cybersecurity framework and how it can be applied in your organization.

Fiserv Forum Technical Tour & Bucks Game

On October 9th, 29 people joined ITS Wisconsin on a tour of Milwaukee’s Fiserv Forum to learn about the new arena.  Tour hosts Andrew O’Herron and Milwaukee Bucks CTO Robert Cordova gave an insider look at features from hydraulic player seats and retinal scanners to the video control center and 2020 DNC. After dinner, the group watched the Bucks dunk the Utah Jazz in their first pre-season home opener.

Joint ITS/ITE Wisconsin Lunch Meeting

Brandon Lamers spoke on the SW Region Dynamic Part-Time Shoulder Use project during the joint lunch meeting hosted by ITS Wisconsin and ITE Wisconsin Section on July 18th , 2019 in Delafield. During the event, Christian Sternke of TADI was presented with the Ken Voigt award. Congratulations Christian!

ITS Wisconsin Madison Mallards Outing – June 19, 2019

ITS Wisconsin hosted 42 participants at this year’s annual social outing at Warner Park. The Madison Mallards played the Wisconsin Woodchucks on Wednesday, June 19th, 2019 in Madison. Thanks go out to our many sponsors of this year’s event. Contractors, consultants, public sector employees, friends and family attended and enjoyed good food and clear skies.
