ITS Wisconsin awarded the “Most Innovative Technology” to team Fire Hole Basin. Congratulations to this year’s winner!
You spoke, we listened! ITS Wisconsin partnered with Milwaukee Area Technical College to offer this certified training. The course provided Introduction to the design and design parameters for installing and maintain fiber optic networks. The course introduced the basic theory of the physics of fiber optics. Post installation procedures for the fiber testing and troubleshooting were emphasized. Tools and equipment common to fiber optic installation and maintenance such as optical time-domain reflectometers (OTDR’s) were discussed and utilized to reinforce the procedures and testing of the fiber optic networks. After the inspection, testing and troubleshooting discussion learners used fiber test documentation to identify faults or issues with newly installed fiber. The course provided Six (6) PDH hours. Thank you to our course sponsors!
